Help us educate, inspire, honor

Commemorative Air Force’s mission is to educate, inspire, and honor through flight and living history experiences. We do this by sharing with the public tangible artifacts from our history and the stories of the people who flew them. It’s a lot of work for our volunteer members, but we are honored to be a part of it.

Owning, operating, and maintaining an airplane built in 1944, designed for military style budgets and maintenance manpower, is a time-consuming and expensive proposition!

Our pilots volunteer their time and money to bring our aircraft to public events to share its history. Our maintainers volunteer their time and expertise to keep our aircraft in a safe condition. Our members contribute financially to and operate our programs and events.

Your donation supports all of these members and their hard work and keeps our aircraft well-maintained and available for all. However you choose to donate, we thank you for your generosity, support of our mission, and love for our airplane! Together, we can Keep ’em Flying!

If you wish to donate equipment you think is valuable to our flight and education programs, please contact our finance officer to discuss the details.

Sponsor our aircraft

If you wish to support the preservation and operation of our aircraft, you may sponsor that specific airplane. This is available to members, non-members, and corporate entities. Since this is a unique type of donation, please contact our finance officer to make arrangements.

There are three levels of sponsorship. The rates for the AT-19 are:

  • Aircraft sponsor — $1500
  • Restoration sponsor — $750
  • Supporting sponsor — $150

 

CAF HQ sets the sponsor rates per aircraft. Sponsorship is tied to an individual aircraft and is perpetual. A lower level sponsorship may be applied to upgrade to a higher level. Aircraft and Restoration sponsorships may be paid over time. Aircraft sponsorship is a prerequisite for any CAF member who wishes to fly the aircraft.
